Welcome to

Sheffield Music Makers

Welcome

Welcome to the website of Sheffield Music Makers, one of the city’s oldest-established choirs (founded in 1968 as Sheffield Teachers’ Choir). After our Easter break, rehearsals are starting again on Thursday April 11. We meet once a week at St Mary’s Church on Bramall Lane on Thursday nights between 7pm and 9pm.

Whether you used to be in a choir and want to re-engage, or you have never sung in a choir before but always wanted to, now is the perfect time for new members to join us for a stimulating term of music making ahead of us building up to our Summer Concert on Saturday 6th July. New members are always welcome, you don’t need to audition, all sheet music is provided, sight reading is not essential and the first term is free. What are you waiting for?

We will also be looking forward to our next Come and Sing day on Saturday 2nd November at Bents Green Methodist Church. This will be a great opportunity to sing and socialise, as members and non-members of Sheffield Music Makers will learn the music for a selection of choruses from Handel’s Messiah during the morning and afternoon. At the end of the day we will have an informal performance.
