Welcome to

Sheffield Music Makers

Welcome

Sheffield Music Makers entertaining Christmas shoppers in Sheffield Winter Garden, December 2024.

After a successful Summer Concert we are now on our summer break, with rehearsals starting again on Thursday 4th September.

And please save the date of Saturday 1st November for this year’s Come and Sing  – Fauré’s Requiem at Bents Green Methodist Church. More details available soon.

Sheffield Music Makers are one of the city’s oldest established choirs (founded in 1968 as Sheffield Teachers’ Choir).

We rehearse every Thursday evening during school term times at Holy Trinity Millhouses Church, Grove Road, Sheffield, S7 2GY (note new venue; use this Google maps link or for sat nav the best entrance to the church is opposite 24 Grove Road, S7 2GY – make sure it is not taking you to the other much smaller entrance on Millhouses Lane) between 7pm and 9pm. We had a fantastic response to our recent Bring A Friend To Choir evening and new singers are always welcome.

Whether you used to be in a choir and want to re-engage, or you have never sung in a choir but always wanted to, now is the perfect time for new members to come and join us.

There are no auditions, all sheet music is provided, sight reading is not essential, and the first term is free. So, what are you waiting for? Come along and join us soon. See our joining page for more information on joining the choir.
